Saturday, April 7th, 2018:

Noon: Vesperal Divine Liturgy of Holy Saturday

READING OF THE BOOK OF ACTS: After the Vesperal Divine Liturgy of Holy Saturday, which begins at noon, we partake of dried fruits, nuts, breads, and wine while quietly listening to the reading of the Book of Acts in the Temple.  These foods are blessed and are meant to sustain us until the Nocturns, Paschal Matins, and Liturgy which begin at 11:30 pm that night. Please bring some of the above-named foods to share.

11:30 pm: Nocturns followed by the Great and Holy Pascha of Our Lord and God and Saviour Jesus Christ

PASCHA BASKETS: Many members of the Cathedral community bring Paschal baskets filled with tasty treats to break the Lenten fast; these baskets, which will be kept in the basement, are blessed immediately following the service. In celebration of the Resurrection and the breaking of the Lenten fast, we join together to eat and share from our Pascha baskets. It is truly a joyous time and if you can stay, please do so!

12:00 am: Paschal Matins and Divine Liturgy followed by blessing of Pascha baskets

PASCHA PARTY: The Pascha party on Sunday, April 8th after our 2 pm Vespers service, will be held in our hall. This is a time to celebrate in joy with food, laughter and being together. There are sign-up sheets for food and drinks at the Eccles St. entrance. Please bring serving utensils along with your food items.
